She's staring at you - Medusa Soap, 9 oz. Bath Sabbath Exclusive

Oh, I'm ready to strike, Gorgon!

Modeled after the ill-fated gorgon Medusa, who's stare could turn you to stone. Decapitated by Perseus, Medusa's head was fastened to the Aegis of Athena and still retained its abilities to turn onlookers into stone. From Medusa's dead body sprung the winged horse, Pegasus, and Chrysoar, the golden giant. Her blood is said to have mingled with the seaweed in the Red Sea and created its coral. To this day, the symbol of Medusa's head is used to avert-evil, symbolizing the divine protection of the Goddess Athena.

This listing is for 1 (one) Medusa soap in a vegan Activated Charcoal base. It weighs in at approximately 9 ounces, and is hand painted with micas and natural minerals.

The design was sculpted by me and was inspired by Vincenzo Gemito's 'Medusa,' (Picture 4) on display at our local Getty. and comes shrink-wrapped and packaged in a 4x4x2 inch white gift box, with label ( Picture 5), ready for gift-giving!

You can choose between the following scents as well as seasonal scents that are currently available (Just select OTHER from the drop-down menu and leave us a note in the "notes to seller" section):

-BARD'S SONG- Woodsy and earthy. Fallen leaves, wet bark, fresh soil, rounded out by patchouli and a hint of sugared berries.

-FIDDLER ON THE GREEN- A refreshing floral blend of Gardenia and sweet Grass, with notes of Tomato Leaf, Ivy, and Grapefruit.

-KEELHAULED- Walk the plank with a bottle of Rum and a Yo-ho-ho. The smell of coconut and pineapple with notes of buttered rum with sweet vanilla sugar.

-BORN OF FIRE- The smell of a raging bonfire. Smokey Woodsy notes with a touch of Cedarwood and Balsam.

-FAIRIES WEAR BOOTS- A deep absinthe inspired scent, heavy notes of cinnamon, anise and fennel over an herbal backdrop.

-HOLY DIVER- The smell of the midnight sea and fiery brimstone. A smokey, salty ozone scent with hints of wood.

-HELLBENT FOR LEATHER- The unmistakable smell of some brand new leather chaps.

-CUPAJOE- I really need a cup of coffee. Freshly brewed coffee with hints of vanilla and cream.

-ONCE SENT FROM THE GOLDEN HALL- A heady blend of Honey, clove, blackberries and the glory of a triumphant death.

-CURSED BE IRON- A blend of smoke, charcoal, and Frankincense with aquatic undertones. Smells like an anvil.

-MOONCHILD- A relaxing blend of Bergamot, Lavender, and Brown sugar. Like a warm cup of sweetened Earl Grey tea.

-ODIN- Spiced Mead, think honeyed ale spiked with Clove, Rosemary, and Citrus undertones.

-HADES- Sweet Pomegranate with a heavy dose of Lime and Bergamot, mellowed with smoky Frankincense.

-CERNUNNOS- Tobacco and Basil with notes of Patchouli, rounded out by warm Vanilla-like Benzoin, all on a base of crisp Cedarwood.

-HEADLESS HORSEMAN- Sweet and warm blackened pumpkin, with autumn-inspired notes of Blood Orange, Clove, and Coriander, mellowed out by the earthy presence of Cedarwood.

-KRAMPUS- Based on the homeland of that Alpine Demon, it smells of Spiced woods with notes of Fir Needle, Balsam, Juniper Berries and Cinnamon Clove with a touch of Vanilla.

-CONQUEST- A crisp and clean aquatic, with top notes of chlorophyll on a base of cool citrus and bay laurel leaf (for victory).

-*WAR- Notes of Bergamot and Clove-spiced Valencia Orange swimming in a base of malty black tea and smokey sage. *Please note WAR has undergone a recent formula change due to discontinued aromatics.*

-FAMINE- An airy blend of fallen Pine needles and fresh hay with notes of dried Sage and Virginian Cedarwood.

-DEATH- An earthy blend of freshly tilled soil and dried ivy vines with an herbaceous hint of Rosemary and Bay Leaf.

LIME: A 100% natural essential oil (tart citrus!)

-Color of the soap may vary slightly as they are hand painted.
